Avoid set charging amps when it can't be set

Yesterday, I've hit the rate limit because a 3rd party integration (EVCC) constantly tried to set the charging amps while the charger wasn't connected (or connected but charging was disabled).

Unfortunately, the Tesla integration still pushed these requests to Tesla's servers causing about 300 commands per hour which killed my rate limit in a short period of time.

It would be great if the integration could catch this and refuse changes to those charging parameters if they can't be executed.

Or am I missing something?

Well the charging amps can be set regardless whether you are actually charging.
I use this in one of my automations so that if I decrease the amps at a public charging station (in order to be able to park there for a longer time) and then stop the charging, they get set to the maximum amps again for next time.
