Sync between different VS Code based IDEs

I think many are now switch between different VSCode based IDEs like Codex, Antigravity. And have to start form scratch with project manager. Yes, you can copy the json configuration file, which you have to find first.
If reusing same projects.json is too complex to implement, would be great if there was "import" action to import from default VSCode path.

Hi @romanr ,

The projectManager.projectsLocation setting exists exacly for this purpose, to share your projects between different instances os VS Code. It started with Stable and Insiders releases, but you could be able to use with fork as well.

Simply copy the projects.json file (or its content) to some location both apps has access, and update the settings. Since the extension has a file watcher monitoring changes on the file, whenever one app add/update/delete a project, the other will be updated and reflect the changes.

ps: Avoid network locations, because I don't think the watcher will work on these
