Unable to save ingame On Fallout2

Thank you for your work with this repo.
I am having issues saving on Fallout 2 . It reads in game: (see image below)
I used to be able to on my older device when I played on my iphone12 but not on my iphone 14
is this script IOS specific?

I get exactly the same issue in cachyOS in linux. I changed the permissions in the save directory from read-only to full read-write for everyone and I still got the "Error saving game" msg. So it appears to not be OS specific. Or it wants to save it somewhere else.
