#DocSearch-HitsFooter doesn't show in Sphinx

Hi, I was expecting #DocSearch-HitsFooter to show in my search in my Sphinx doc (sphinx-book-theme), but it's missing.

Is there a special setting I need to set for it to show, assuming my theme may be missing "something" that it wants?

James Gray added that it's "a parameter on docsearch like:

resultsFooterComponent={({ state }) => {
    return <h3>{state.context.nbHits} hits found</h3>;
  }}

Since this is encapsulated by the pkg, seems like you'd need to inject that h3 containing state.context.nbHits @kai687

The footer component is optional as mentioned in the DocSearch documentation, so if I understand you correctly your request is to expose this option in this Sphinx extension.

The code you show in your comment will only work in environments where you can compile JSX, so it won't work for us. I asked for clarification in algolia/docsearch#2475 since the non-JSX example shown in the DocSearch documentation isn't working either.
