Hi Alok firstly thank you for sharing your experience and taking a step to guide students who want to be a part of this program.
I wanted to ask a few questions.

1. What was the project you were selected for and how the selection was made, was it based on your profile and field of work and they put you on some project that matched your profile or was it that they already had an opening in some project for which your profile was found suitable.
2. The application uses SmartRecruiters platform, how did you use the platform intricacies to make your application stand out. The platform asks for past experience and suggests to be as detailed as possible about your job responsibilities. How did you formulate your responses. Did you mention all the tasks you were able to complete during your past internship or did you give details of your position responsibilities.
3. You mentioned that there was one thing common for a lot of selected applicants that they had past GSoC or Outreachy experience. Do you think that the field their projects were in also made an impact on their applications?
4. Can you tell me something about your past experience in the field of the project you were selected?
5. What were the things in your application that you think made you stand out?
6. What should I take care of while writing the application to maximize my chances of selection?

Hey @Abhishek02bhardwaj , I have added answers to a few of your questions in the README itself.
6. Mostly for writing your application you can try your best to write the SOP/Motivation letter uniquely. Also, they look at your application carefully and in a very detailed manner. I still remember on my first day my supervisor pointed out a URL that was not working on my showcase website.
