DfE has published a 'Get to an answer' design pattern

It's similar to smart answers that GDS create, like Check if you need a UK visa.

It's also similar to HMRC's interactive guidance content type, like Get help if HMRC contacts you about a compliance check

This indicates potential value in a 'get an answer' pattern in the GOV design system

Context from a GDS colleague: "I have worked on complex smart answers... I think they are very valuable but it would be great to have an easier solution... it should be something that everyone can use

"I feel that there needs to be a solution that copes with such complex flows of questions, answers and outcomes.

"They are essentially the digital version of a really complicated form. Something like smart answers does that hard work for the user, they answer the question and it serves them the next question based on their response.

Much easier for the user but pretty complex to build and maintain."
