Help with ivy-posframe

Hi there!

I'm trying to use yequake to launch a frame that is calling a counsel / ivy function but the problem I'm having is that yequake will launch (for example let's say I'm trying to launch counsel-M-x) a buffer even though I'm only trying to have the posframe visible.

I made a hack that will open the scratch buffer and make it very tiny so that it can hide behind the posframe but I was wondering if there was a better way to do this?

Hi Sean,

I don't know exactly how ivy-posframe works, or what the command you're using does when an item is selected and acted upon. Here are a few thoughts:

1. Is Yequake necessary? Can the posframe be displayed directly, without Yequake's involvement?
2. If Yequake is necessary, can the posframe cover the Yequake frame completely? If so, maybe it wouldn't matter what buffer is displayed beneath it.
3. Maybe you could use a different Ivy display function, not ivy-posframe, in the Yequake command.

Ah, those are all good ideas! I don't know the display code that well but will test out a few of these to see what I can come up with! Thank you!
