Feature Request: Enhance Pre-Request Script API for Merging/Adding Variables

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I am trying to use the Pre-Request Script to dynamically set or inject new variables into my GraphQL request.
However, the newly added item is not included in the final request.

That is not part of the public API of Altair. You have access to altair.helpers for managing different aspects. Setting the GraphQL variable can be done with environment variables via altair.helpers.setEnvironment() for example.

The following is the way Insomnia works. I think Altair can also add similar functions in the helper to update the request content, for example: altair.helpers.request.body.update

The insomnia.request.body.update() method allows you to modify the current request body using a specific mode.
