One of the ways I use waterwaymap.org is to squint at it and see where there is less density of waterways than other locations since it tells me that it's likely there are streams which are not yet mapped. Please see my simulation of squinting algorithm:
I thought it could be interesting to produce a layer that shows at different zoom levels the density of waterways per area. e.g. km of waterways per km^2 So in case someone doesn't know what to do with their spare time, I thought I'd share the idea.
