Readme doesn't contain enough information

Current readme file lacks important information
- Library dependency to compile from source
- How to build from source (Distribution independent)
- Current stable version

Also link to distribution package download are mostly dead. I saw build script for each supported distribution are already in master branch, so it needs to be exposed properly in readme.
