The error message is likely comes from place https://github.com/anatol/smart.go/blob/f03d79b340d253e09bc38acb572e36d0bf4d93be/scsi_linux.go#L99

If it does not give you any troubles then yes, just ignore it. Your SDA disk for some reason does not handle INQUIRY SCSI command.

If you have a chance could you please share information about your /dev/sda harddrive. What model is it and what smartctl -a /dev/sda shows?
