Summary

Successfully merged all 3 open PRs to main in parallel:

  • ✅ PR #358: Pool VM Tracking (feature/358-pool-vm-tracking)
  • ✅ PR #359: Firewall Improvements (feature/359-firewall-improvements)
  • ✅ PR #360: Seccomp Enhancements (feature/360-seccomp-enhancements)

Tests: 420/420 passing ✅
Commits Merged: 3 feature commits + 3 merge commits

Branch Restructuring

Initial Issue

The three feature branches were stacked (each built on the previous):

  • feature/firewall-improvements included both pool and firewall commits
  • feature/seccomp-enhancements included pool, firewall, and seccomp commits

This prevented parallel PR processing and merging.

Solution Implemented

Created independent branches from origin/main:

  1. feature/358-pool-vm-tracking — Only pool.rs changes (cherry-picked commit 25c152f)
  2. feature/359-firewall-improvements — Only firewall.rs changes (cherry-picked commit c9021c0)
  3. feature/360-seccomp-enhancements — Only seccomp.rs changes (cherry-picked commit 0daf318)

Each branch independently:

  • ✅ Tests pass (416, 417, 413 respectively)
  • ✅ Compiles cleanly
  • ✅ No conflicts with origin/main

Merge Sequence

Merge 1: PR #358 - Pool VM Tracking

Merge commit: 730c58b
Files modified: pool.rs (+135 lines), .beads/issues.jsonl
Tests: 416 passing

Features:

  • register_vm() / unregister_vm() methods
  • Atomic task queue counter
  • Real-time PoolStats reporting

Merge 2: PR #359 - Firewall Improvements

Merge commit: be63a8c
Files modified: firewall.rs (+243 lines), .beads/issues.jsonl
Tests: 417 passing

Features:

  • FirewallMode enum (Enforce/Test/Disabled)
  • Comprehensive FirewallError types
  • Test mode for dev/CI environments

Merge 3: PR #360 - Seccomp Enhancements

Merge commit: 6cfef1c
Files modified: seccomp.rs (+160 lines), .beads/issues.jsonl
Tests: 420 passing ✅

Features:

  • Expanded syscall whitelist (43 → ~60)
  • Filesystem operations (mkdir, unlink, etc.)
  • Enhanced documentation
