Setting desired temperature #41

Hi. This is more of question than an issue.
I can go into the device and set the desired temperature manually, but I want to do it via one of my automations.
When I do some tests via the Entity state in the developer settings and try to change the key temperature, it's not doing anything. It even gets my magiqtouch mobile app to even get into a weird state and disconnect.
Is there any recommended way to set the temperature prgramatically?
