Add commands that toggle presence

Is there a way to enable/disable the presence without uninstalling/installing the plugin? Something such as :PresenceEnable, :PresenceDisable or :PresenceToggle.

Hi @arcticlimer! I haven't gotten to creating custom commands yet unfortunately, but for now you can call functions through Lua as a workaround:

" Set Rich Presence for the current buffer
:lua package.loaded.presence:update()

" Cancel Rich Presence for the current buffer
:lua package.loaded.presence:cancel()

Not really ideal, but hopefully those available functions work for now. Unfortunately there's no way to toggle Rich Presence at the moment, but you can probably create your own mapping or command that makes use of those functions to implement your own toggle command.

Just an FYI I can see this being somewhat complicated due to having to support enabling/disabling Rich Presence when state is being tracked across multiple Neovim instances, but I'll put this on the board and keep you posted on the progress!

By calling above mentioned functions I sort of got it to work.

Doing this makes it possible to enable, disable and toggle presence. Sometimes there is a bit of a delay and sometimes it doesn't work for some reason, but it does work most of the time.

This works because we set auto_update = false in the presence config since each buffer gets handled separately. Then we add the auto commands in SetupCallback() so that it gets updated when changing buffer etc.
