Volume boost above 100% does not apply any audible boost.
To Reproduce
- Open any video in NextPlayer
- Go to Settings → Audio → Volume boost
- Set boost above 100% (e.g. 150%)
- Play video — no audible change
Expected behavior
Audio volume should increase beyond system max when boost is enabled.
Device info (please complete the following information):
- Device: Realme GT7
- Chipset: MediaTek Dimensity 9400e
- Android version: 16
- Architecture: armv8a / ARM64
Additional context
Already tried: switching to Software Decoder, force-stopping app and re-enabling boost, testing multiple video files/codecs, lower boost values (120-130%), system media volume already at max. None fixed it. Suspect LoudnessEnhancer audio effect isn't properly exposed by audio HAL on this chipset/Android 16.
