Right now our internal API works with resource records (RRs), not with resource record sets (RRSets). The new API is RRSet based. So this requires some larger changes - but IMO these will be worth the effort, since there are also plenty of other DNS APIs that are RRSet based and not RR based. Supporting both in this collection makes it easier to support other DNS providers.
