Advanced node scoping using named selections with DPF-Post

Hello,
I was wondering whether there is any possibility for some kind of advanced node scoping using named selections in DPF-Post.
For instance I have got a certain named selection inside my .rst-file which I want to use as a scoping with the additional restriction to only use its corner nodes, like one would do it in MAPDL:

CMSEL, S, NODE_SELECTION
NSLE, R, CORNER

Or if you only have got some kind of element named selection and want to work on its exterior corner nodes for instance:

CMSEL, S, ELEMENT_SELECTION
NSLE, S, CORNER
NSEL, R, EXT

Is there any way to perform this kind of filtering when browsing result data like stresses using DPF-post?

To do what you want to do I think you will need capabilities only available at the ansys.dpf.core level.

To work on a named selection, you can refer to ansys/pydpf-core#487 to either create a completely new mesh or to work on scoped results.
To work on corner nodes only, you can again filter by creating a scoping with dpf.operators.scoping.connectivity_ids(), giving it your previous element scoping on the named selection as input and setting argument take_mid_nodesname=False.

Or if you only have got some kind of element named selection and want to work on its exterior corner nodes for instance:

To work on exterior corner nodes, I guess what you could do is use the dpf.operators.mesh.skin() operator, giving it the full mesh or an already cut one (see mentioned discussion above), and optionally as argument mesh_scoping, the scoping obtained previously from the operator connectivity_ids without the mid nodes.
