[BUG] File picker (@) selected item highlight barely visible compared to multiple-choice selection highlight #72040

Description

@mewert

Preflight Checklist

  • I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

When using the @ file picker to reference files in a prompt, the currently selected item in the list is highlighted so subtly that it is nearly invisible. In contrast, when Claude presents a multiple-choice question, the selected option is clearly and prominently highlighted. The two UI components are inconsistent in their visual feedback.

What Should Happen?

The selected item in the file picker should use the same level of visual contrast as the selected option in multiple-choice questions, making it easy to see which file is currently selected.

Error Messages/Logs

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Type @ in the Claude Code prompt to open the file picker
  2. Use arrow keys to navigate the list
  3. Observe the highlight on the selected item — it is barely noticeable
