Clear and concise description of the problem
Self-hosting Anytype via the Any-Sync Node on TrueNAS SCALE currently requires manual deployment using Docker Compose via the command line or custom sandboxes. While TrueNAS SCALE has recently improved its native Docker support, the lack of an official 1-click application in the TrueNAS catalog creates an unnecessary barrier to entry. Many homelab users and privacy enthusiasts want to self-host Anytype but prefer the reliability, automated updates, and GUI-driven configuration that native TrueNAS Apps provide, rather than manually maintaining a multi-container stack (Coordinator, Sync Node, File Node, MongoDB, Redis) via CLI.
Suggested solution
Create and maintain an official application configuration for the TrueNAS SCALE App Catalog (https://github.com/truenas/apps). By packaging the existing any-sync-dockercompose setup into the TrueNAS App ecosystem, users could install the entire Any-Sync Node infrastructure through a simple UI wizard. This would prompt the user for their external IP/domain and generate the necessary cryptographic keys automatically during the initial setup, drastically simplifying the onboarding process for self-hosters.

TrueNAS SCALE is rapidly becoming the go-to OS for home server environments. In my personal setup, I utilize a 10 Gb/s local network to self-host services for various endpoints, including Linux Fedora workstations and mobile devices. Anytype is already an incredible tool with its P2P architecture, but having a native TrueNAS app would cement it as the ultimate private knowledge base for families and homelabbers, allowing us to fully bypass public cloud limits while keeping all data locally encrypted on our own hardware. Bringing it to the TrueNAS catalog would expose Anytype to a massive, highly engaged community.
