How can I pass parameter from sql node to shell node?

The doc demonstrate a scenario that use shell node pass param to sql node, however I failed to do the reverse operation, there are two issues in fact:

1. the parameter is not recognized by current node
   I firstly create a sql node and define variable "table1"
   
   
2. I replace the parameter reference in the first node with its value directly, and the out parameter is not passed to the successor node
   
   
   

Expected behavior：

1. current node could refer the out parameter as said in doc
   
2. successor node could get the parameter via ${}
