Workaround Pentaho Reporting Output with Apache Hop

Hello, I am still evaluating the migration tasks from Pentaho CE to Apache Hop.
Could you please share workaround or best practice for populating and automating ancient prpt files?
Or is there a way to "sideload" Pentaho Reporting Output step?

Pentaho Reporting is LGPL , which is incompatible with the APL 2.0 license. Even if porting that plugin would be technically trivial (it isn't), it couldn't be included in the Apache Hop code base and releases.

I totally understand this is an annoying situation, but I'm afraid you'll have to look for an alternative for your reports (or start paying for Pentaho EE) anway, now that Pentaho no longer is open source. There could be other options, but one possible alternative could be migrating your reports to Eclipse BIRT.

Is there any converter or solution from prpt to BIRT?
As I can see a simple import procedure in BIRT is not so straightforward.

I just have a command line step that triggers pentaho 8.2 that runs the prpts.
Everything else runs in hop.

the concepts behind the scenes are so different between PRD and BIRT that I doubt anyone even started building one

I can add that Pentaho Report is no longer developed.
I had the confirmation from our local sales representative when we studied the transition to the enterprise version for PDI after the end of the community edition.
