+1 binding, hoping oli can attract more users and contributors after being a dedicated repo. |

Hi folks,
As discussed in #6617,
we’d like to start a vote to split out
oli(currently under[bin/oli](https://github.com/apache/opendal/tree/main/bin/oli))into its own repository under the Apache organization (As a sub-project of Apache OpenDAL).
Background
oliis a CLI tool built on top of OpenDAL.It may become a useful utility for backup, sync, and migration,
similar to
rsync, but powered by OpenDAL operators. While it has lived in the main repo for convenience, it’s conceptually independent and can iterate on its own.
Proposal
We propose to:
apache/opendal-oli;bin/olisource, tests, and workflows there; This change won’t affect OpenDAL’s core direction — it simply gives oli the space to grow into a practical, self-contained tool.
Vote options
olias a standalone repoVoting period: 72 hours from now.
If this passes, we’ll proceed with the repo setup and migration.
Thanks everyone for the discussion and support!
