Why is the filesystem scheme fs and not file?

I had assumed there was a reason to avoid it, as it is the accepted scheme for filesystem-based URIs. Maybe the unusual resolution around starting slashes and inserting localhost?

Haha, it's mostly a historical issue. When opendal first appeared, we didn't have the URI concept at all—only the scheme. At that time, I felt that fs was clearer in representing the service itself compared to file.
