Any plans on incorporating KIP-932 (KafkaShareConsumer)?

From what I see, KIP-932 is currently in early access and is planned to reach production readiness in Kafka 4.1.

Given that, are there any plans to integrate the new KafkaShareConsumer API (introduced in KIP-932) as a first-class Source in the Streams/Connectors module?

Pekko is a volunteer project and if anyone is interested in implementing it, it looks like something that could prove useful.
#296 has changes to support kafka-client 4 - so anyone looking at this might want to incorporate those changes in their branch.
