Added the ability to add a new filter or overlap a filter using extensions

Currently, extensions cannot replace the default Gregorian filter with a custom date filter or add a new custom filter to the dashboard filter list. It should be possible to add a filter and replace a filter with extensions. This means that extensions can be used in filters.
