xAxis crosshairs line snapping on datapoints

Hi,
Does anyone know how can we disable the snapping on datapoints of the xAxis crosshairs line and make it follow the cursor? I read all the docs and I could not make it not snap. I have a line type chart. There is [followCursor] option on the tooltip but it seems to apparently do nothing for a line chart.

For example the horizontal crosshair (y) does not snap on data points, it only follows the mouse. I would like the same behaviour for x axis.
