Feature Description
The Event Discovery section in the Travel Website currently lacks a modern and complete UI experience.
There is no global navigation bar, no light/dark theme switch, and the overall layout feels outdated and visually inconsistent.
I propose enhancing the Event Discovery page by:
- Adding a responsive navbar for better navigation
- Introducing a light/dark theme switch for modern UX
- Redesigning the event cards with improved spacing, typography, and hover effects
Use Case
When users explore events and festivals while planning a trip, they need clear navigation and a visually engaging interface.
A navbar helps users move between sections easily, while a theme switch improves accessibility and user comfort.
For example, a user browsing events at night would benefit from dark mode, and a well-structured layout helps them quickly compare events and dates.
Benefits
- Improved user experience and navigation
- Modern UI aligned with current frontend standards
- Better accessibility with theme switching
- Increased engagement with events and festivals
- Makes the project more appealing to contributors and users
- Enhances overall project quality for open-source showcases like KWoC
