I tested Archcraft on https://distrosea.com/select/archcraft/ and instantly loved it.
However, it's seemingly the only Linux distro on the whole website that has severe graphics rendering glitches.
Considering how much I instantly loved it, I installed it into a local VM. Much to my surprise there are the same glitches there.
Even with the help of Google I was unable to fix them.
For instance, https://wiki.archcraft.io/docs/boot-iso/boot-in-vm recommends to switch to the 'xrender' backend, but this isn't helping. It's just causing new bugs (frozen windows).
Example:
You see the rendering bugs in the menu, and you can also see that I'm using the xrender engine. Would you believe me that there's even an open terminal window of which only a small portion of black background is visible in the screenshot? The bugs are causing it to be almost invisible and unuseable.
I would normally not write this bug report, but since the bug is clearly visible at https://distrosea.com/select/archcraft/ (Click "Latest" and follow instructions to run a session), I presume it's worth pointing you there.
System stats:
Archcraft GNU/Linux x86_64
Linux 6.19.11-arch1-1
16 GB RAM
pacman -Syu has completed successfully.
