Add multi camera support

Hi Mark,

We are looking into using an Euresys frame grabber to acquire images from multiple CoaxPress cameras, however currently the AD Euresys driver only supports one camera per frame-grabber. We are willing to extend the driver to support multiple cameras, but before we tackle this, we would like to ask you if you know if any work in this direction was already done? In any cases, do you see any possible obstacles in extending the driver?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know of any work in that direction. It seems like a good idea, and I will be happy to accept a PR. The ADEuresysConfig command already accepts a "cameraId" argument which is currently not implemented, but could be used to specify which camera to use.

I am not sure about how one uses multiple EGRABBER_CALLBACK objects, i.e. can they be in multiple processes (IOCs) or do they need to reside in a single process?

After a quick look at the documentation and provided the egrabber kernel driver is written properly it should be possible to have two cameras in two different processes, but this is definitely something that should be tested and/or checked with Euresys. For our use-case we were more focusing on the cameras being used in a single process. Do you see any problems with this?

I don’t see a problem but maybe you should check with Euresys.
