operationPhase is Error after Application has been corrected and now syncs

Hi,
I am reading the state of my Application resource and trying to understand what it means to decide if something is a bug, or if I am not interpreting it correctly. Here is what I see in the status, I have removed noisy bits:

My sequence of events was:

1. I deployed the app with a bad config, the repo did not match what was in the appproj, produces the errorState message
2. I tried syncing by patching the application with an operation, but the config was still wrong and the error is still correct
3. so far so good
4. I Fixed the repo and updated the application at 2025-09-18T16:19:50Z
5. It was synced successfully and these fields look correct:

   status.health.status: Healthy
   status.sync.status: Synced
   

However:

• it still has the status.operationState.phase: Error from when it failed earlier
• The status.history only has old entries in it, not the one that fixed it

Can someone help me understand if it is supposed to look like this or if this is a bug and the status is actually showing a mixture of old and new information?
