Rollout notification template functions

Rollout notification template is leveraging html/template golang package. The number of functions available in this package is very limited.

On the other hand ArgoCD notification is using the same package but also has access to sprig functions. Since rollout is using the same notification-engine I assume that these functions would be available in rollout which does not seem to be the case.

My template looks like this

When I am using the splitList function the all the notification in the trigger is breaking. Hardcoding the value is triggering the notification perfectly.

I am specifically interested in splitting a string but not able to get it working. The splitList does not seem to be available. Any idea on how can this be achieved or am I missing something?
