Persistent "network error" after failed scrobble

After a failed scrobble, wil keeps giving the message "Network error: please try again later", and no more scrobbles anything, resulting in a long list of failed scrobbles.
Is it possible to recover this without losing all those scrobbles?
Is there any log that can help diagnose the issue?
