VMAF support on Android

Hi, I am currently using VMAF over ffmpeg in linux environments to evaluate the quality of a video with respect to a reference one (e.g., video compression artifacts).
It is basically a complex ffmpeg filter, taking two inputs and writing a log file in output.
I have not found any android ffmpeg application or library supporting libvmaf, and I would like to know if it is for lack of interest from the community or if there is any technical problem with it.
This looks like the most updated and active repository on the topic, that's why I'm asking here
I also asked the VMAF developers about this (in this issue), and they say that since it's a C library, it should be possible to port it in Android as well.
Since I do not have any experience with Android applications, is this doable?
Is it of interest to your community as well?
Do you have any sources of information on how I could add VMAF support to this tool?

Our criteria to introduce built-in support for a new external library is

• Popularity of the library
• Requests received about supporting it
• Time available to work on it

I don't remember we received a request about supporting VMAF before. It seems like there are not too many people using it. So, spending time on it doesn't make sense at the moment. We have more important tasks.

We are open to PRs though. Build scripts are well organised. You can try implementing support for it by copying the scripts of another library.

A second option is to use Custom Library Options to build it. They are simple and easier to implement.
