Use Proxy for artifacthub on-prem

We are operating artifacthub in an enterprise environment. To access some remote repos (helm-charts....) we need to use a proxy server.
Is it possible to configure a proxy Server for artifacthub on prem? Have not found any clue.

Hi @jmurighub 👋

The Artifact Hub software doesn't provide any mechanism to setup a proxy. You could try to set it up at the container/system level for each of the AH components (hub, tracker and scanner), to force AH to use it.

considering that we use the official chart to install artifacht-hub with argocd in an openshift-cluster where would you do that?
Just setting env variables https_proxy?

To be honest, I can't confirm that that'd be enough, I'd need to look into it a bit more. But IIRC most -if not all- outgoing requests are http/https traffic, so proxying it that way should definitely help. If you give it a try, it'd be great if you could report back any findings, as they could be helpful for other users in the same situation 🙂
