Pc to pc

My Roaster (Yoshan) is driven by the factory Windows 7 touchscreen. I am attempting to install Artisan on a Windows 10 /11 PC. What is the best way to connect PC to PC? Do I want a PC to PC bridge cable? Male by Male USB cable? Network cables? Wireless?

This is the only supported way to interface to a Yoshan roaster in Artisan. https://artisan-scope.org/machines/yoshan/
Direct to the modbus network, not via the PC.

It is a protocol. If you RTFM it will tell you that it is delivered over USB. So you need a USB connection between your ROASTER (not the PC) and your regular PC. It may be that your embedded control is using the only available USB, or not. But as Terracotta pointed out, Yoshan are the ones best positioned to answer your question there and help you sort out what else you may need (if anything).

Let me ask a very basic question.

Dual-ended USB 2.0 male connector data cable, male to male connection.

First, follow the definition of the USB data interface provided by the coffee roasting machine manufacturer. If they use an unconventional interface, attempting to connect it to a computer without proper precautions could cause serious damag！

You should contact your manufacturer to confirm. USB male-to-male is an unusual connection, and you should NOT expect it to just work. The way Artisan is configured I would expect a USB A to USB B cable, and nothing to do with the "control PC".
