How do we use this crate with variables instead of literals?

The basic answer is - it is not possible.
The long answer:
The can_timings! macro is generating a compile-time const value. It is implemented as a macro, because Rust's const fn couldn't operate on float values. At the moment of writing, macros can't evaluate external constants. The only way we could implement this algorithm with variables at the moment is to import a runtime function to call instead of a macro, which would not be ideal, as it requires a bit of heavy overhead - mainly float processing.

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I will probably C+P into a normal lib, then PR later if you'd like. IMO it's useless as-is, since needs to be hard-coded (So why not just use the table then). The point of a lib here would be so you can set it dynamically, which isn't feasible looking up values from a table.

I mean this not as a spear, but hopefully as a point for improvement.
