Description:
I've encountered an issue when using 5ghoul to send RRC connection setup packets to both OAI UE and a mobile phone. There is a noticeable discrepancy in the packet lengths between the two devices:
- OAI UE: Packet length is 796 bytes.
- Mobile Phone: Packet length is either 237 bytes or 225 bytes (as referenced in Figures 14 and 17 from the 5Ghoul: Unleashing Chaos on 5G Edge Devices website).
I'm curious to understand what might be causing this significant difference in packet lengths between the two devices.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Use 5ghoul to send packet in RRC connection setup step.
- Compare the packet lengths for OAI UE and a mobile phone during the RRC connection setup step.
Expected Behavior:
Consistent packet length between OAI UE and the mobile phone unless there is a specific reason for the difference.
Actual Behavior:
The packet length varies significantly:
- 796 bytes for OAI UE.
- 237 bytes or 225 bytes for mobile phones.
Questions:
- What could be the reason behind this discrepancy in packet lengths during the RRC connection setup phase?
Thank you!
