Image always on top. #122

Image

Short:

Moving layers don't change anything.
Arch linux, tried with AppImage and under wine with windows version.

Long:

Operating System: Arch Linux (rolling release, kernel 6.18.5-2-cachyos)
Desktop / Display: [Qtile] + [X11]
Astrofox version: [Astrofox-1.4.0]
Installed via: AppImage-1.4.0.AppImage
Also tested: Windows [Astrofox Setup 1.40.exe] version under Wine-10.20 (Staging)
Graphics: [AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB] + driver OpenGL version string: 4.6 (Compatibility Profile) Mesa 25.3.3-arch1.5

Steps to Reproduce

Launch Astrofox via AppImage: ./Astrofox-....AppImage
Create a new project or open an existing one
Add 2–3 layers (e.g. Image layer + Text layer + Effect / Shape layer)
Select the Move tool (or whatever tool is used to reposition layers – if different name, please specify)
Click and drag a layer on the canvas / preview area – or try using transform handles / position inputs
(Optional: try repositioning via the Layers panel properties if available)

Actual Result

The layer visually does not move at all
No change on the main canvas / preview
Layer thumbnail / properties in the layer list stay unchanged
No error popup or console warning (that I can see)

Expected Result
The selected layer should move / reposition smoothly according to mouse drag or input values
Additional Information

Happens on brand new empty project? Yes
Affects which layer types? (Image, Text, Effects, Groups…?) – tested on basic ones
Layers locked / hidden / masked? No, normal unlocked layers
Terminal output when running AppImage? Run it like this and paste errors/warnings:text./Astrofox-....AppImage 2>&1 | tee astrofox-log.txt(especially anything with Electron, WebGL, ffmpeg, canvas errors)
Screenshots attached: [before drag, during drag, after release, Layers panel visible]
Last time it worked (if ever): [np. older version / never tried before]
Tried already: restart app, reboot PC, new project, different audio file, reset settings if option exists

Extra notes

Same issue in both AppImage (Linux native) and Windows executable run via Wine
Project file (.afox or whatever extension) can be provided if needed for testing
Rendering to video works fine, problem is only with editing / moving layers in editor

Terminal log:
