Make "inspect element" possible in thread view?

This would be a feature request. I'd like to customize the CSS for thread view, but it’s a little slow-going because I don’t know the names of each element, and I have to guess which properties are being assigned where. Would it be possible to include "inspect element" in the right-click menu, the way it is when I open an email?

Do you mean in thread index view? (just open the help ('?') in a mode to see which name it has) As I understand you, what you refer to as “when I open an email” is the actual “thread view”.
