In README the documentation doesn't work

In the file named README.md, if you click on "documentation", you will get an empty page:

Just for the record: On the project's official website scroll down a bit to "Documentation". There you can read the simple statement: "There is no SkyMaker documentation yet." – so this is not an issue but a state.

Seems, the projects on this site were last updated in 2014 ... 9 years ago ... and since nothing happend there. I guess these projects are abandonned by their inventors who seemingly created everything for a PHd / Master thesis.

The documentation is (in principle) rendered through a
python sphinx call -- with various patches.
The information that might have shown up in readthedocs.io could be
created from the .rst files with

python3 -m venv $HOME
source $HOME/bin/activate

pip3 install sphinx
pip3 install sphinx_rtd_scheme
# note that newer sphinxcontrib versions are incompatible!
pip3 install sphinxcontrib.bibtex==1.0
pip3 install 2to3
cd ...skymaker/skymaker-4.3.0/doc/src
# patch that conf.py uses old python 2 syntax
2to3 -w conf.py
pip3 install pybtex
sphinx-build -M html . .

# get rid of the python3 environment and look at the HTML output
deactivate
cd html
firefox index.html &

There is, of course, no other information than what is already
in the .rst files.

Obviously, I am not a python fan and would prefer to include
in-source documentation in https://www.doxygen.org style instead of outsourcing
it to some unrelated commercial and python-oriented web pages.
