How can we get rid of these ugly block references ?

Current journey to create or modify a block reference

Create a block reference

1. I type in the (( to tell Athens I want to quote a block
2. I type in some text search to find my block
3. I chose between the different options offered and hit Enter
4. I end up in edit mode with an ugly 9 alphanumerical chain like this : ((c04075fcb))
5. I hit Enter again, or click out of the block : magic, my block reference is there

Modify a block reference

1. I click on the a block reference to edit it
2. There comes again my ugly ((c04075fcb))
3. I want to modify it, so I hit backspace
4. I remove the two first )) : nothing happens, and if I quit the edit mode I end up with a new block ((c04075fcb...
5. I remove some of the characters : nothing happens, and if I quit the edit mode I end up with a new block ((c0407...
6. I decide to make a new block quote, so I remove all characters and leave only (( : nothing happens, the block is not in "search mode" anymore. I have to remove all and start typing again ((

What I think should be polished

For the block creation experience

• We never want to see these ugly system references. Why should we ?!
• When the block selection shows up, I believe that one hit on the Enter key should directly end up with the quoted block being shown.

For the block modification experience

• When I start removing anything from the block quote, it should put itself back on search mode
• This makes sense because most probably I either want to delete my block quote or to quote another one that may have similar words inside
• We could also imagine an option that would pop-up to delete the block quote right away

Breakdown of the UX :

First I type (( then I search for my block

Then I hit Enter, my block quote is done but I can still continue writing in my block

I hit Enter again, and here is my block quote

It I come back to my block in editing mode and I start removing anything from the block quote (( ... )), instantaneously the search mode will trigger. At first it will only propose the block I just quoted :

... But when I remove enough from it (that is, when I only have "This is a" in my example), it will show more options again !
