Recent commits view shows same avatar for multiple non-GitHub accounts #1395

Prerequisites

Description

If there are multiple different users (author email addresses) in the recent commit list and avatars from GitHub are not available, then every single commit looks to be from the same author:

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Have a git repo with multiple commit authors, but not a GitHub repo.
  2. View the recent commits

Expected behavior:

Different avatars shown for each author, for example this is how GitKraken shows the same commits:

Actual behavior:

The same avatar is shown for every author.

Reproduces how often:

100% of the time.
