Keep the repo politically neutral

The code-base is politically neutral. I suggest we keep the repo neutral too. Our opinions will be what they may, but we are writing drivers here; nothing else.

I am referring to the slogans used in the repository releases.

Further, the use of slogans over semantic versioning makes the HAL harder to use: I do not read Russian, so I must first translate the slogan to find out that it does not have any relation to the current version. Seeing "0.x.0 - x days ago (latest)" is better: I then now instantly if I need to modify downstream code.

🙄 Everything is released and tagged with semantic versioning. Even if I want to I cannot release crates without semver to crates.io. Names for releases on GitHub are messages to the world.

I hear you. While I agree to certain extent, it's more than politics in my opinion. Especially for me coming from country having borders with both this mad regime and Ukraine. I was wholehearted for abstain from politics for very long time, until... LinkedIn started be very loud about politics 🤷🏼‍♂️

To be honest I have no idea how GitHub notifies about releases, I use tools relying on crates.io, eventually stuff like dependabot.

But from now on I'll include numbers in release titles.

I wholeheartedly advise against letting social media influence getting in front of engineering practices. What does this add to this project other than noise, and an invitation of more?
