What happened?
Adjusting the size of the filmstrip with the mouse is difficult, in particular if one wants to reduce its size. The mouse handle is shown, yet it does not allow to reduce the size of the filmstrip. For this, one has first to increase the size (by going up) then without releasing the mouse one can reduce the size. On reduction, the filmstrip does not remain within the border of the Ansel window, and images appear cut downwards until one releases the mouse. Then the filmstrip eventually refreshes. However the vertically- and horizontally-displayed thumbnails' sizes are not shown equally in proportion to the filmstrip. This is as if there are two distinct procedures to adjust the sizes, one for the filmstrip itself (the plastic part of the slides of the old days), and one one for the thumbnails.
See images below.
Expected behavior: the relative sizes of the image thumbnails and the borders of its container look like the 35 mm slides for the horizontal orientation.

On size increase: note the disproportion of the image thumbnails relative to the slide border, especially horizontally.

On size decrease: this is even more dramatic as both horizontal and vertical proportions seem to be affected.

I would expect the following:
The area of a vertical image should be the same as that of an horizontal image, hence that the constraint of having the annotations at top and bottom of each slide be relieved so that each is embedded in a rectangular container with an area dedicated to the thumbnail, and one at the top or the bottom to the annotations. There is no need to have the constraint of trying to mimic an old slide look.
For instance here is how Canon DPP handles this problem:

The area of each thumbnail is identical, independent of the orientation, while the bottom part of the container displays the annotations. By the way this may also be valid for the Lighttable.
Also, I think the user has too much freedom to adjust the size of the filmstrip, especially downsizing.
Worse is that one does not see immediately the effect of downsizing as if the size was limited. Suffice to reenter in the darkroom from the lightable to see minuscule thumbnails such as these:

As a workaround, I go from smallest size to "according to my taste", and never touch it again until I use another screen...
