Dynamically resizing table column based on the entry on a field

Hi,

I used table repeaters for invoice items and depending on the type of the item, one field is disabled and another is enabled. I was wondering whether its possible to shrink the size of the disabled column. Right now I'm looking into:

->extraAttributes(function ($get) {
                                                        return [
                                                            'style' => $get('item_type') != ServiceType::where('name', 'PRODUCT')->first()->id
                                                                ? 'width: 50px; opacity: 0.5; pointer-events: none;'
                                                                : 'width: 180px;',
                                                        ];
                                                    })

however while at a certain point the select field is resized, after a threshold its size doesnt change anymore. Is there a solution for this?
