Did anyone try the current version on Linux 7.0+?

PVE has just rolled out kernel 7.0+. Has anyone tried using this driver with Linux 7+?

Yeah just did. does not seem to work out of the box.

Error! Could not find module source directory.

I'm not good at these things so i might just be doing something stupid.

I'm not sure if this is the same issue, but it might be related to Secure Boot. When executing modprobe r8125, the error message "modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'r8125': Key was rejected by service" appears. You only need to uncomment the mok_signing_key and mok_certificate lines in /etc/dkms/framework.conf and register the public key with mok. Alternatively, you can disable Secure Boot in the BIOS.

I am using this module with 7.0.2-4-pve. No issues.

I compiled and successfully ran it in 7.0.2-6-pve(Pve 9.1.19)

The built-in driver r8169 has severe stability issues with RTL8125 chips. Stuff like randomly losing link, or it not even coming up at all.

I am trying to build this on Ubuntu 26 for a RTL8125 NIC, but can not get anything other than Hardware clock none.
I set the ENABLE_PTP_SUPPORT = y in src/Makefile
Do you have any ideas or tips on how to build it?
