My team was hit with this too, but there is a workaround that is pretty fast. This worked for us. Use JetBrain's Toolbox, you can have multiple versions of IntelliJ to develop from. It's fast to install, and switch to an older version where AWS plug-ins work

Thanks for the tip. I used it before your comment but you are right, that's the quickest way to solve this before a new compatible version.
