Support for cheap USB Wifi Adapters

Aliexpress/Banggood/Ebay is awash with cheap USB Wifi donngles based off the RTL8088 and 8092 chipsets. Any chance we can add support? (i would if I knew how and then PR but sadly I am not clued up enough on Android)

Why not? And does it still apply to android-7.1 too?

I reckon compiling driver in the kernel (if not done already) should be fairly straightforward, isn't it? Now, how does that support propagate through the Android frameworks I do not know.
