Use of submission data for filter and sort criteria in a view.

I am now successfully using webform submission data in building custom views but I would like to be able to use one of my webform fields as a filter and another for sorting a listing of submissions. It would be very helpful if I could do this with the Views UI rather than have to code a custom template.
