I have limited webform submissions to 1 for each user, but when a user submits the form for the first time, they get my confirmation message (on the reloaded form) along with the 'You have already submitted...' message. That seems confusing, because it appears to be telling them they've already submitted it, when they've only just done so...
I recommend either allowing this message to be changed (either site-wide or per webform), or changing the hard-coded message to be something like this instead:
"Your submission limit for this form has been reached. The form has been hidden to prevent further submissions."
This not only works for someone coming back to the form after a while, as well as someone just having submitted it, but also explains why the form is now gone (not previously mentioned).
